Job Description: E-commerce Merchandiser
Position Overview:
The E-commerce Merchandiser plays a vital role in our retail and sales department's merchandising operations, focusing on optimizing the online shopping experience for our customers. This position requires a highly organized individual with a strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and a creative mindset to drive sales and maximize product visibility. As an E-commerce Merchandiser, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate product representation, effective site navigation, and exceptional customer engagement.
Responsibilities:
1. Implement effective merchandising strategies to optimize the presentation and placement of products on our e-commerce platform.
2. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns, ensuring timely and accurate product updates.
3. Conduct regular analysis of customer behavior, site metrics, and market trends to identify opportunities for improving conversion rates, navigation, and customer experience.
4. Manage the product catalog and ensure accurate and up-to-date product information, including images, descriptions, pricing, and availability.
5. Execute A/B testing initiatives to optimize product listings, landing pages, and overall site performance, utilizing data-driven insights.
6. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, conversion rates, and customer engagement to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
7. Collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure proper stock levels, availability, and accurate fulfillment of online orders.
8. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and advancements in e-commerce merchandising to continuously enhance our online presence.
9. Work closely with the web development team to identify and resolve any technical issues related to the e-commerce platform.
10. Collaborate with external vendors and partners to optimize product placement, promotions, and cross-selling opportunities.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (X years) in e-commerce merchandising or a similar role.
3. In-depth knowledge of e-commerce platforms, preferably experience in managing merchandising activities on popular platforms.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
5. Proficient in using web analytics tools and e-commerce management systems.
6. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and basic knowledge of HTML.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
9. Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and product presentation.
10. Self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
